Our #GreenUp strategy in action!💪🌎
In the United Arab Emirates 🇦🇪 we will be engineering and supplying key #green technology for the world’s most energy-efficient desalination plant. We are not talking about a small plant either; in fact, it is the second largest in the world. This is how we are going to do it. For years, we have been hard at work to improve the reverse osmosis treatment technology, a key process in desalination. We have reduced its consumption by 35% over ten years. Today, this makes us able to provide the low-carbon solutions that help adequately preserve ever-more precious water resources. The new plant in the #UAE (a $320 million contract) will have an incredibly low energy consumption rate of 2.9 kilowatt-hours per cubic meter, a level of efficiency that would have been unthinkable even five years ago. ⚡💧 On top of this, all of the plant’s energy will be green. This achievement confirms our leading position in water technologies and the strength of our #GreenUp strategy, which positions us as the go-to partner for cities and businesses who need to protect their resources and decarbonize. Congratulations to everyone at Veolia who made this possible! https://lnkd.in/eusNRpXy

A food & beverage manufacturer needed a faster method to detect process variability in their wastewater in order to prevent organic overloading of anaerobic digesters. BOD was not fast enough for process control. The manufacturer implemented a real-time total organic carbon (#TOC) analyzer into their processes to achieve key advantages: ✔️ Rapid results to prevent overloading events ✔️ Faster decision-making by directly measuring organic content ✔️ Improved process understanding & control Read this case study to learn more: https://bit.ly/4aYUw0z #TotalOrganicCarbon #WaterMonitoring #WaterQuality #WaterAnalysis #FoodandBeverage

When water and wastewater emergencies arise, we can rapidly mobilize assets and expert resources to minimize downtime. After a Saudi Arabian petrochemical plant faced commissioning delays due to their water demineralizer falling behind schedule, Veolia assembled a fleet of 10 movile water treatmeant units in just three days, which was transported to the site by our partner, GET Water, a subsidiary of the Tamimi Group. These units provided demineralized water for 30 days along with temporary energy, consumables, and 24/7 operational support, enabling timely commissioning of the boilers and entire plant.
